Trigonometry, 9th Edition

By Margaret Lial, John Hornsby, David I. Schneider

Grading: There will be 4 tests plus a final exam. The final exam is 30%. The best three tests are 50%. Participating in group activities in class (helping other people, not leaving early) is worth 20%. No extra credit.

Homework: I'll suggest homework during the lectures by writing problem numbers down on the board.

How to Behave: Please put your cell phone on silent before class, don’t bring food inside class, and don’t talk during class. Let me know before class if you'll be leaving early. Thank You.

Attendance: If you miss more than 3 classes before the withdraw deadline, you may be dropped from the roll and then would receive a grade of W. After the withdraw deadline you would get an F.

Tutoring: Tutoring is available in building 7 on the top floor.

Academic Honesty: You are expected to do your own work on exams. Providing information to another student or receiving information concerning exam content is considered cheating. Each student is expected to be in complete compliance with the college policy on academic honesty as set forth in the admissions catalog and the student handbook. The professor reserves the right to determine the appropriate penalties within Valencia Community College’s academic honesty policies.

Students with Disabilities: Students with disabilities who qualify for academic accommodations must provide a notification from the Office for Students with Disabilities (OSD) and discuss specific needs with the instructor, preferably during the first two weeks of class. The Office for Students with Disabilities determines accommodations based on appropriate documentation of disabilities. The East Campus Office is located in Building 5, Room 216.

Disclaimer: Changes in the evaluation procedure may be made at the discretion of the instructor.
