ANT-2000 - Intrductory Anthropology
Introduction to the anthropological discipline including study of its four subdisciplines - biological anthropology, archaeology, cultural anthropology, and linguistic anthropology. Application of anthropological techniques to real world problems is also surveyed through applied anthropology.


ANT-2930 - Forensic Anthropology
Introduction to the field of forensic anthropology which focuses on the analysis and interpretation of human skeletal material in a forensic context. Focuses on learning human skeletal biology, forensic bioarchaeology, analysis of skeletal remains including bone inventory, identification of bone pathology, identification of antemortem, perimortem and postmortem skeletal anomalies, identification of skeletal trauma, and analytical reporting techniques.


ANT-2930 - Museum Anthropology
Introduction to museums and their anthropological connections to the community. Includes in-class work and field trips to different types of museums. Academic focus on the inner and outer workings of museums, collections, research, visitors, fundraising, and community outreach.


ANT-2930 - Fantastic Anthropology
An inspection of historic folklore, legends, and popular myth such as Sasquatch, Loch Ness Monster, Irish Fey, Germanic legends of vampires and werewolves, the Chupracabra, and others. Class is in debate format.
