Dr. April Raneri

I graduated from the University of Central Florida with a bachelor’s degree in Organizational Communication and a master’s degree in Interpersonal and Mass Media Communication. I recently graduated with my doctoral degree in Higher Education Leadership at the University of Florida with a dissertation focus on Strategic Communication.

Prior to working at Valencia College, I worked as a Communications Manager at an advertising company and was a graduate teaching assistant at the University of Central Florida.

I have research published on health communication, open educational resources, and strategic communication.

I currently teach Fundamentals of Speech and Interpersonal Communication. In addition, I have taught English for Academic Purposes and Student Success. I also serve as a service-learning mentor to students looking to explore learning through service with our local partners.
