Dr. Denise DeBusk
Dr. DeBusk is the Horticulture Professor for the Plant Sciences and Agricultural Technology Department. Getting her own start at a community college, she has an AA from Lake-Sumter Community College, as well as three degrees from the University of Florida (B.S. in Entomology and Nematology, M.Ed. in Science Education, and D.P.M. - Doctorate of Plant Medicine). Her varied experience includes a 7th grade science teacher, pest management consultant for the Navy, and environmental horticulture extension agent, before coming to Valencia. Dr. DeBusk teaches various science courses including environmental science, entomology, introduction to plant science, nursery operations, and other horticulture classes.
