Erin Mistry
I was born in Wisconsin, but fortunately my parents migrated to the Florida beachside when I was 2. I grew up in Satellite Beach, Florida where I stayed until college.
I received my BA in Biology Education at the University of South Florida in Tampa. I started teaching high school biology right away in the Tampa area for five years. I took some time off from teaching, but after three years, I realized teaching was my true calling. I took a position at a high school in Apopka, where I taught every biological science offered, including AP Biology and AP Environmental Science. I also taught chemistry. While teaching, I received my MS in Biology from Mississippi State University
After 13 years, I decided to pursue my PhD at the University of Florida. I am currently ABD and should receive my doctorate in Curriculum & Instruction with a specialization in Science Education by Spring or Summer of 2022.
