Jason Balserait


Jason Balserait graduated from the University of Central Florida with a Bachelor’s degree in Creative Writing. After graduation, he enrolled in the Educator Preparation Institute at Valencia Community College where he completed an internship at Timber Creek High School. He then graduated Rollins College with Masters of Liberal Studies. His thesis focuses on the utilization of bioacoustics to gauge the healthiness of a natural environment, and how Walt Whitman and John Muir recognize the same
musical patterns within the natural world and find balance.

His proudest achievement is receiving the Teaching in Excellence Award two years in a row. He has received the award for the 2009-2010 and 2010-2011 school years.
