Prof. Meredith Jean Morris

Meredith Jean Morris is a tenured speech professor at Valencia College Osceola Campus, where she teaches Fundamentals of Speech and Interpersonal Communication. She also is the campus advisor for the Valencia Voice student news organization and occasionally teaches JOU 2100c, News Reporting.

Prior to becoming a full-time professor, Morris worked in journalism as a writer, editor and designer. She has worked for newspapers, magazines and online publications, including New York Times Company Regional publications, the Orlando Sentinel, the New York Post, the Associated Press and Teen People Magazine. Morris has a bachelor’s degree in magazine journalism from the University of Florida, and a master’s of mass communication from the University of Central Florida. She has been honored with writing awards from the Florida Press Association and the Florida Magazine Association.
