Dr. Sexton is a Professor of Psychological Sciences at Valencia College's Downtown Campus. She teaches General Psychology, General Psychology Honors, Developmental Psychology, Developmental Psychology Honors, Cognitive Psychology, and Research Methods.
Educational Background:
- PhD in Psychology (Vanderbilt University); specialty in Cognitive Neuroscience
- BS in Psychology (UCF)
- BA in Political Science (UCF)
Other Duties:
In addition to teaching, Dr. Sexton is also the Undergraduate Research Coordinator for the college. She loves working with faculty and students as they take on new and exciting research endeavors in their field of interest.
Dr. Sexton has also worked as an academic adviser for undergraduate students. She enjoys guiding students as they discover their passion for psychology and helping them to navigate their academic and career goals.
