Nancy L. Maurer

Professor of History

Orlando has been my home for many years; I currently live in downtown Orlando.

I received my AA from Valencia Community College in 2000 and my BA from UCF in 2002 majoring in Philosophy/Humanities. I then earned my MA in History at UCF in 2006.

I have been teaching at Valencia and UCF since the Fall of 2006. Starting in the Fall of 2016, I will be a full-time history professor here at Valencia's East Campus. I am excited to serve the students here at Valencia on a full-time basis

I love to travel, especially to Europe. Paris is currently my favorite city. I am also a bit of a movie buff. Some of my favorites are Les Miserables, Gladiator, Saving Mr. Banks, and Lincoln.
