Dr. Remy Ansiello

I have been with Valencia College since the year 2000. I had moved to Florida that year from out west and enrolled as a transfer-student and on September 15, 2000, I started my very first job as a Federal Work-Study Assistant in none other than the Humanities Department on East campus. Working in that department unleashed a passion for history and philosophy and the study of human achievement - which is, after all, what the Humanities is all about.

What I love most about the Humanities is that it gives us the opportunity to understand where we, as human beings, come from. Our present society is a result of the thoughts, dreams and actions of the countless billions of people who came before us in history. To have a better understanding of where we have come from, we also could have a better chance of understanding where we might be heading to in the future.
