Richard Sansone

Professor of Portuguese and Spanish

I feel that it is a privilege and an honor to help Valencia students to find their career/life paths. I have worked here for over 25 years and am ever engaged by being part of the students' learning/growth process. It is my hope that they will discover the career here that they feel passionate about, so that they, like I, will one day be able to do what they love and love what they do.

It was a professor at Rollins College who helped me to discover my passion for languages and cultures, and it was my experience working in college semester abroad programs for the School for International Training which helped me to see the role that these play in furthering understanding and bettering the human condition. My Masters degrees are both from the University of Arizona and are in Teaching English as a Second language and Spanish and Portuguese in the area of Latin American Studies.
