Teddy Duncan Jr.

English Professor

Professor Duncan earned his Bachelors in English from UCF and Masters in Literature from USF. Before that, he received his AA from Valencia College in 2017. He teaches in the English department at Valencia's Osceola Campus.

Professor Duncan is dedicated to student-centered learning and ensuring that his students exit his class as better-equipped writers who are more prepared for their future courses, careers, and civic & personal lives.

His scholarly work has appeared in Latin American Literary Review, The International Review of Žižek Studies, The Midwest Quarterly, and Between the Species. Additionally, he has written for non-academic publications such as Document Journal, Creative Loafing (Tampa), Washington Independent Review of Books, and Merion West. His first book, Interpreting Meat: Theorizing the Commodification and Consumption of Animals is forthcoming from McFarland & Company.

Online engagement hours: Monday from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM, on Wednesdays from 8:00 AM to 10:30 AM, and Fridays from 10:30 AM to 12:00 PM.

In-Person Engagement Hours: Tuesdays and Thursdays, 9:30 AM until 10:00 AM and 11:15 AM until 12:15 PM in room 110 in building 3, Osceola Campus.
